Hi, I’m Tania, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician, Fear Free Certified Professional, and Cooperative Care Trainer (CARE-TC™ KD), here to make caring for your pet less stressful, less confusing, and much more manageable.

With experience across exotic medicine, Zoo medicine, ICU, emergency, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, and surgery, I’ve learned the little tricks that make complicated care easier, from medications and treatments to organizing discharge instructions.

Because your pet’s care may be a priority, but it shouldn’t become your second full-time job. If you’d rather have someone qualified handle the complicated stuff while you work, rest, travel, or simply enjoy your pet, I’m here. ✨

When I started my vet tech journey, I thought it would be a piece of cake. Spoiler: it was more like baking from scratch without a recipe.

Between endless studying, crazy medical vocabulary, and fostering rescue animals with my besties, I found my own way of making complicated information finally make sense and passed the VTNE on my first try.

I’m still learning every day. Still growing.

I have two cats (you’ll see them around here, my little chaos professors) who taught me firsthand that even when you know everything about animal health, being a pet parent is emotional overwhelming and… honestly? Hard.

That’s why I built Barkcademy: for busy pet parents who want trusted support, families navigating chronic illness or recovery, and future vet nurses who deserve to learn without drowning in flashcards.

Around here, we’re making vet med easier, pinker, and less stressful decorated with pink glitter, obviously.

Our 1 year old high energy dog Papdi was so happy with her she was actually looking for Tania once we brought her back home! Tania actually kept up with Papdi’s training while we boarded her. She is also so in tune with all the enrichment, exercise and training a dog needs which allowed us to not worry about Papdi when we were traveling ! She also has some great alternatives and suggestions up her sleeve tailored to your dog which is super nice and she really goes above and beyond sending updates and pictures! She managed all of them perfectly, and, being a veterinary technician she was able to tell that the kittens had fleas, which I was then able to treat.  The combination of her love for animals and her veterinary  knowledge make her a wonderful pet sitter. When I first got my puppy I didn't know where to start her training and Tania was my best option, she gave me advice on how to train my puppy so she can be on her best behavior.
